Overdrive Mustard Dip
Ingredients
- 250 mL Light (5% fat) sour cream, 1 cup
- 15 mL Prepared mustard, 1 tbsp.
- 5 mL Soya sauce, 1 tsp.
- 2 mL Garlic powder, 1/2 tsp.
- 2 mL Dried basil leaves, 1/2 tsp.
- 3 drops Hot sauce or to taste, 3
- 25 mL Ground flaxseed (can also use 10 mL (2 tsp.)
flaxseed oil or 25 mL (2 tbsp.) toasted whole flaxseed), 2 tbsp.
Instructions
- Combine sour cream, mustard, soya sauce, garlic
powder, basil and hot sauce in a bowl.
- Whisk until well blended.
- Stir in ground flaxseed.
- Cover and refrigerate 1/2 to 1 hour.
- Serve with assorted crackers and fresh vegetables.
- Yield: 250 mL (1 cup)
- Serving Size: 50 mL (1/4 cup )
