Overdrive Mustard Dip

Ingredients

  • 250 mL Light (5% fat) sour cream, 1 cup
  • 15 mL Prepared mustard, 1 tbsp.
  • 5 mL Soya sauce, 1 tsp.
  • 2 mL Garlic powder, 1/2 tsp.
  • 2 mL Dried basil leaves, 1/2 tsp.
  • 3 drops Hot sauce or to taste, 3
  • 25 mL Ground flaxseed (can also use 10 mL (2 tsp.) flaxseed oil or 25 mL (2 tbsp.) toasted whole flaxseed), 2 tbsp.

 

Instructions

  • Combine sour cream, mustard, soya sauce, garlic powder, basil and hot sauce in a bowl.
  • Whisk until well blended.
  • Stir in ground flaxseed.
  • Cover and refrigerate 1/2 to 1 hour.
  • Serve with assorted crackers and fresh vegetables.
  • Yield: 250 mL (1 cup)
  • Serving Size: 50 mL (1/4 cup )
